OVERLORD 1944-2014

Operation Overlord, 70 years later. Now that the D-Day landing beaches have become a crowded place to vacation, I used my iPhone and the Hipstamatic app to capture the feelings that must have felt the soldiers engaged in the battle of Normandy. The vaguely retro images commemorate the people who died on 1944, June 6th, on both sides. The randomness of the result added expectations to a story that enabled me to dig into such a significant event in modern history. >>
